Warwick, O' Warwick

The morning shown brightly upon the Schwarz family. Sun beam danced upon cheery old England. What more could the good family want? Breakfast for one! We tumbled down the narrow English stairs right at our 8:15 am breakfast call. As the only guests at this five star bed and breakfast, host Sarah and David waited on us like a mother duck herds her baby ducklings. We wont bore you with wordy details, suffice it to say that the breakfast was mmMmmm GOOD!

Dwight's and Launnies' Breakfast.
Caitie's Breakfast - toast with Field mushroom topped with scrambled eggs.

As you can see the pictures are worth a thousand words. However the rested dead one's breakfast was another story. We had barely finished ordering when Scott looked with longing at the slabs of fresh butter that lay on the table. Knife in hand, he went to work, like a swordsman practicing for battle. Pat after pat fell to the man possessed. It was a good thing Sarah and David had been to the market recently. Order after order of toast arrived at the table and in true Laun Reinholtz fashion the slices disappeared. 14 pieces (half pieces) of toast gave their life today, for the nourishment of the Schwarz family. A necessary sacrifice to fortify us for the adventures of the day.

Warwick Castle is a short 20 min ride away from our B&B hotel. Sold by the Earl of Warwick in 1978, it now serves as an education and amusement center for the community.

Dwight and Scott were so fed up with the backseat drivers that they were forced to use drastic measures. Here they are sitting in the stalks, their punishment, for half an hour.

Scott is on a quest in search for the perfect sword. He saw some in the gift shop but his mother wouldn't let him buy it. So in his temper tantrum he went and tried to steal King Authur's Sword but unfortunately was not strong enough.

Scott always looking for more work experience to put on his resume jumps on the opportunity to add medevil warfare to his resume. He shot a 33lbs. stone 225 yards only to come 10yrds short of the target. Currently this Trebuchet is the largest in the world. This massive war machice is the weight of 7 elephants and moved easliy by Scott's powerful gate. His smile was due to his thoughts to gain entry to thacher hall.

Speaking of residence halls Caitie jumped at the chance to lead the family into the Guy's Tower but unfortunately she was dissapointed not to find her knight in shining armor.

This hard earned view was not without sacrifice.  It required the climbing of 530 stairs.  Dwight will accept donations for medical care.  No need for treadmills today!!!

After a long  day of walking Scott insisted by some ice cream for Grandpa Schwarz but as cold as it was it was starting to melt and we had to eat it.  Sorry Grandpa.
Tired and hungry we set off in search of food.  After passing many non-vegetarian resturants or resturants closed for remodeling we came upon Cafe' Pasta.  Launnies tried to pull open the door but alas it was locked and we almost moved on but Scott's brain cells were still fuctioning.  He said "Mom, try pushing the door"  Our hero, success at last we enjoyed a nice italian meal.

The Schwarz family narrowly adverted tragedy of their own when they forgot to check what time the play started.  After dropping the family off Dwight squeezed through many a narrow street looking for parking.  He thinks the city of Stratford either needs wider streets or fewer cars.   Fair thee well, tell next time.  Schwarz fam bam on Hawaii Lampoon vacation
